II Scientific and Practical Conference “Infections in Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation” 01-02 June 2023
On 1-2 June 2023, the II Scientific and Practical Conference "Infections in Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation" will be held in Moscow.
The conference will be held only in in-person format.
Leading experts will discuss modern aspects of diagnosis, therapy and prevention of infectious complications in patients with diseases of the blood system.
Antimicrobial resistance has been named by the WHO as one of the global threats to humanity. For patients with diseases of the blood system, infections are especially dangerous and can lead to death.
Over the past 20 years, there have been significant changes in the treatment of hemoblastosis. New drugs of non-cytostatic nature, monoclonal antibodies and thyroxinase inhibitors have been introduced, the number of transplantations have increased and cell therapy use is also on the rise. The possibilities of using molecular research in the field of infections are expanding: this is not only the verification of pathogens, but also the implementation of targeted antimicrobial therapies.
There are changes in the structure of pathogens: in invasive mycoses, mycelial rather than yeast fungi have begun to occupy a leading position in hematology, and in enterobacteria, the dominant mechanism of resistance is the production of carbapenemases. Today, it is possible to distinguish a concept like "hematological infectology,” which is characterized by a variety of pathogens, differing localizations of the infectious process, a high frequency of infections caused by opportunistic pathogens, and infections uncharacteristic for people with normal immune status.
The abstracts of the conference will be published in the journal "Hematology and Transfusiology" No. 68.2.2023.
Doctors of various specialties, clinical pharmacologists, microbiologists, as well as students of medical universities and scientific journalists are invited to participate in the conference.
The conference is accredited by Continuing Medical Education. Points are awarded by profiles:
- hematology
- clinical pharmacology
- bacteriology
- virology
- clinical laboratory diagnostics
- medical microbiology
- healthcare organization
- public health
Conference registration will be held until May 29th inclusively on the website https://npngo.ru
Continuing Medical Education points will be awarded only to those who have registered on the site.
Registration fees are not provided.
The address of the conference: AZIMUT City Hotel Olympic, 18/1, Olimpiisky Prospekt, Moscow
